In Utah, humidity as low as 5% is possible along with gusts up to 35 mph which would allow for new and existing fires to grow rapidly. These fire conditions have allowed the Dragon Bravo Fire on the north side of the Grand Canyon to explode this week, now burning more than 94,000 acres and containment falling to just 4%.

A Flood Watch is in effect for New York City due to heavy rains and potential thunderstorms, with up to two inches of rainfall expected across all boroughs.

According to the National Weather Service, the city can expect anywhere from 1.5 to 3 inches of rain due to a frontal system stalling above the region and bringing repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms. Other areas could see as much as 5 inches of rain by Friday, meteorologists said.
