The easiest way to book the ticket is online. If you book online, make sure to use the official site because if you buy it through a third party site, you will pay extra, for no extra benefit. You cannot buy a ticket for just the Cupola. You have to buy a combination ticket which includes entry to the Baptistery, the Duomo Museum, the Clock Tower and the crypt (entry to the basilica is free but the lines can be very long). The ticket remains valid for 3 days. The other important thing to know is that you will need to also book an entry time to the Cupola. At the same time that you buy your ticket, you can choose your time slot for the cupola. One of the advantages of biking online is that you can book early and have more time slots to choose from.
Hi - We are going to Florence in October. We purchased the Firenze Card and I am reading that we need a free reservation to book a time slot for the Cupola climb... I see on your review you can do this in florence - but I'm worried there won't be any spots left!! On the website, it appear they're already running out.
